Fixpert
The Fixpert program at HIT’s Faculty of Design engages students in developing personalized solutions for difficulties encountered by individuals with disabilities from the surrounding community.
Examples include:
- Gloves with tremor-reducing weights for a person with Parkinson’s disease, enabling him/her, for instance, to drink a cup of tea without spilling a drop.
- An adapted makeup platform enabling a fully paralyzed young woman to put on her own makeup.
- Cooking utensils adapted for use with one hand for amputees who like to cook.
